Set in Tavira’s heart, the OZADI Hotel attracts thousands of tourists and Holidaymakers annually. Being such a well-known and architecturally advanced hotel, it needed a brand and website that did it justice.

Background
I approached this project with an open mind, not anticipating the insights I would gain during my research. Typically, when I work on redesigns, I tend to be quite critical; I believe this is essential for identifying areas of improvement. My top priority is ensuring that the user experience is as seamless as possible.
Now that the project is complete, OZADI has the resources to provide their clients with a simple and efficient digital experience. Their website is now clear and concise, and their branding is clean, reflecting their purpose and voice effectively.

Research
One aspect of my research included conducting a competitive analysis on various hotel websites. This entailed examining various competitors to assess their design elements, user interactions, and overall usability, to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation in my own website redesign.
Design & Branding
Finding inspiration from the hotel itself and its surroundings, I designed for user feeling, incorporating emotion and intention into the designs and branding.
Define
Creating wireframes began with sketching concepts, followed by gathering user feedback and refining layouts to improve usability, ensuring the final design effectively met user needs.
Finalise
The finalization of the project involved meticulously reviewing user feedback, implementing last-minute enhancements, and ensuring a seamless experience.

Lessons learned
Challenging myself and creating something entirely new has been such a fun process. With this project being my first redesign, I’ve been able to come to understand the emotion and empathy that goes into designing for your users, and how without it you are left with a useless product. Looking now at the finished designs I can safely say it is a solid favourite and continues to inspire me.
Moving forward
Moving forward I hope to work closely with brands and have the opportunity to have access to their feedback, because as fun as this project was it would be endlessly helpful to have reviewed the work with the brand.
